R Kelly’s Daughter

 

I don’t have many words about R Kelly’s daughter Buku Abi (Joann Kelly). In the 2024 documentary, R. Kelly’s Karma: A Daughter’s Journey, it is said she mentioned abuse from her father. I was hoping it wasn’t true when I first heard about it. I thought maybe it wasn’t true. I thought it was just a rumor or another tabloid story. I never saw the R. Kelly Karma documentary. 

I listen carefully to what Damon Dash has got to say whenever he talks about Aaliyah & R Kelly. I don’t think Damon lied when he said Aaliyah tried to talk and she couldn’t. When someone does something real bad to a person, it probably is hard to talk about it. It might have been real hard for Joann Kelly. R Kelly is her father.

It is said Aaliyah didn’t want Jay Z. I only liked one or two of Jay Z’s songs. By the time he came along, I wasn’t into rap music much anymore. Today for the first time, I heard and saw Jay Z’s rap song. I saw the video Pimpin’. Look it up if you haven’t seen it. I’m wondering now was Jay Z anything like he said he was in those lyrics or was he just making up a rap song and playing the character. He said:

…. Parts with nothin', y'all be frontin' Me give my heart to a woman? Not for nothin', never happen I'll be forever mackin' Heart cold as assassins I got no passion I got no patience, and I hate waitin'….

It makes me wonder how Aaliyah met Jay Z and why she turned him down lol. If he is anything like his lyrics, no wonder she didn’t choose him. She must have found out about him and there were things she didn’t like in order to choose Damon Dash. And he was also in Jay Z’s video Pimpin’. Well, maybe they were just playing the characters. Acting is a part of singing too.

I be reading lyrics to songs, and I start asking myself, “Who taught these people to think this way? These guys don’t think nothing good about women. Where did they come from? Where have they been?”

I don’t like to judge people by their songs, but if it’s not their frame of mind, they wouldn’t be writing and putting it into their songs in the first place or bother to use it. I wouldn’t even be thinking about some of the stuff they are talking about. It’s just a lot of hind point lol. They only need one love, and they ain’t talking about love. Not at all. 

Damon Dash Recalls Aaliyah's Fear of Flying

 Was it the flying on planes that Aaliyah was afraid of or was it she knew something that was going on - on those planes? 

I’m wondering what Aaliyah knew and how much she knew with her gut feeling not to get on that plane. The more I listen to these Aaliyah stories, the bigger the picture seems to be. How many people could have been involved in her death? Aaliyah seemed to be very valuable too and special. Either somebody wanted her or somebody wanted to get rid of her according to all the stories I’ve been hearing. 

Damon Dash Accuses

 We know that Damon Dash is upset with Jay Z. But people aren’t so sure about Damon. Some people want to know how did he end up with Aaliyah after R Kelly and Jay Z. From my understanding, Aaliyah and Damon started out as just friends. 

There is one thing I know for sure, Damon has a lot of anger inside. Sometimes I feel like he knows more than what he’s telling. Sometimes he gets asked questions he doesn’t want to answer. He went off on Nick Cannon when he asked him what age Foxy Brown was when she got signed. I believe Damon Dash knows a lot more than what he was telling about Hype Williams. Damon Dash is the one that needs to talk. He needs to tell all that he needs to tell if he has nothing to hide himself. It may be that he’s telling some and keeping some. For the sake of Aaliyah, he should tell it all with no fear unless there is danger.

What I want to know is how did a girl like Aaliyah get into all that mess with those guys? Aaliyah didn’t deserve that mess she got entangled in. She wasn’t like the rest of them. Some say her marriage to R Kelly wasn’t even real. If it was supposed to make her bigger in her career, it was all lies. It was a lie anyway. Aaliyah just wanted to sing and somebody put all that other mess in her life. As far as I’m concerned, the music business is not a business.

Damon Dash Is Right About Doing Your Own Thing

 Damon Dash is right that we need to do our own thing. Our own music, network, and education. We got to do it on our own and stick together and teach each other. Damon says he’s not a business man, but you might learn more from him than a business man. Damon said they want us to be customers and we know that ourselves. I think that’s why we struggle. But Damon said the whole economy is based on black culture and they don’t want to be our customers. Everything bought is based on something we did but we don’t control it. They profit off what we do. “We Never Dated Like That.”

Aaliyah said she hung out with Jay and had a lot of fun. He was her homie, and they never dated like that. Dated like what? To me, it sounds like they dated if they were hanging out together. Damon said that Jay was courting Aaliyah. It sounds like a lot of guys were connected to Aaliyah to me. Well, I don’t care about that part. Guys and girls will date. The part that bothers me is that they make it sound as if Jay had something to do with Aaliyah’s death. 

Another thing that I don’t understand is why talk about all this stuff now when they all knew what was going on in 2001 and didn’t report it to the police. Who were they protecting? They all should have been getting together and helping one another against the crimes if any were committed. Two is better than one. People should have been standing up a long time ago. But it’s not too late for more investigation. 

I just hope that Jay didn’t harm Aaliyah. I don’t want to think that he did. I hope Aaliyah told the truth about them being friends.

 The Case Needs To Be Reopened 

According to Jaguar Wright, someone made a phone call to Aaliyah that Damon Dash was about to die in Miami. But Damon wasn’t even in Miami. It sounded as if the caller could have had some bad intentions for both of them. Maybe the caller really thought that Damon was in Miami. If there’s any truth to Jaguar Wright’s story, yes, the case needs to be reopened because it might not be over yet. Some other folks lives still might be in danger. We don’t know everything that happened.

What does Jay & Damon’s business situation have to do with Aaliyah? I keep thinking I’m missing something. Every time I hear Damon Dash say something about Jay, in interviews Aaliyah’s name is brought up like she’s a part of it. I don’t think she’s a part of it though she was dating Damon and she looked as though she was friends with Jay. They all looked like good friends at one time.

Tasha thinks Dame should move on. Maybe he should. He told the world how much he wasn't really into Aaliyah at first. I think he should have kept it to himself. What he had to say on the part about how Aaliyah looked and how he wasn't really interested in her at first didn't sound too good. Then when Aaliyah started looking nice, he wants to get with her. Aaliyah sounds like a bet between him and Jay Z according to his story. But Jay Z isn't saying anything. He moved on and got with Beyonce. Dame moved on as far as getting someone else. But he's not over what happened between him and Jay Z business wise.

On Entertainment Tonight, I saw Damon Dash speaking out about Aaliyah’s death. That was the night that I wish I had never seen the interview. It just made me wonder more about what happened to Aaliyah, but I’ve been trying to leave things alone. It made me think that there is more to that crazy plane crash story and how Aaliyah died. Damon said some things that made me think more about his story. It wasn’t confirmed whether Aaliyah was dead or not when she first died, and Damon responded to the answer he was given the strangest way. I detected that maybe Damon was hurting and maybe he just responded the way he did. I’m hoping that’s all it was. I knew people would have doubts about him after the interview. I knew there would be more questions. Now some people want to know why he’s speaking out. I can’t help but feel Damon Dash didn’t tell us everything. He’s got his reasons I’m sure.

Damon Dash talks about business and how to make it. That’s why I sometimes listen to him. He talks about owning a ball team in sports and different things. He sounds like a guy with some experience and can be very opinionated too. I kind of like some things that I have heard him say and hoping the best for him. I’m hoping he can do all of the things he wants to do. I like it when he shares his knowledge about business because I want to do things too not knowing how.

Guys don’t talk about everything like women do. Sometimes they hold things in, and maybe that’s what Damon has been doing about Aaliyah. I don’t like to jump to conclusions and point fingers at people about nothing. Whatever he needs to talk about, I’m hoping he’ll talk to someone that he can trust. It’s good to talk, but next time, if it’s going to be Entertainment Tonight, he needs to be very careful because the world is judging and watching. Check DOCZ DAILY video  

Aaliyah Said She Was Never Married

 

Aaliyah said she was never married. She may have told the truth. Did I believe her? I never questioned it at the time. All I saw was a young girl in the music business singing, and hearing people playing her songs. A lot was going on in my own life, and the life of an entertainer didn’t get my attention quite as much then like it would have. 

I never heard Aaliyah say that she was in a relationship with Damon Dash, but I heard Damon say they were planing on marriage. Aaliyah didn’t seem to talk and tell everything. You didn’t see her all over television telling the world her problems. In one way, I think she has done right because  there are people waiting for you to have downfalls. They get a joy out of that, and they help the devil by trying to tear others down. Sometimes there is no one to tell our troubles to but God. However, she did mention some things to Damon. Aaliyah sounds like the type that didn’t want to make things more complicated or involve other people. 

Aaliyah looked like she was raised good by someone. Her mother did try to be with her from what I gather. Parents can’t be everywhere with a child all the time though they may try. Aaliyah’s brother seemed a little shy and quiet on camera. They didn’t look like no bad children although they were not perfect. I can only say what things looked like. No matter what, I love Aaliyah and I know for myself that life ain’t easy.

The Guys Around Aaliyah

 It’s not hard to see that Aaliyah knew a lot of guys. I have no earthly idea who Aaliyah was as a person. It is said she was a very bright girl in school. She looked very brave to me and not shy. When I see Aaliyah in pictures with P Diddy, Damon Dash, and Jay Z, I know one of the reasons is because she was in the music business. However when it’s music business, it’s hard to know what’s really going on when you’re not in the business. 

Aaliyah was around some rich guys, but I don’t know if they were as rich when she was around them back then. It looked as if Aaliyah knew exactly who to do business with. Then there was Missy Elliot and Timbaland. Aaliyah  knew Janet Jackson and was about to do a movie with Whitney Houston. Aaliyah was getting up there pretty high. I don’t understand why she’s gone.

How Many People Knew and Didn’t Speak Out? They Are Guilty Too

If R Kelly did something bad to Aaliyah, it should have been known just like it was known that Ike abused Tina Turner. How many people knew and didn’t speak out that R Kelly was doing bad things to females? They are just as bad. They allowed a crime to continue and spread by R Kelly. The crime could have went there way to their families. James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

It is said that Aaliyah did tell someone. I wish that she had went to the police, but I know that she was probably afraid for her life. Who would have believed her? Was she told she had to protect her image and to keep things a secret? It really makes me wonder what really was going on with Aaliyah in the music busniess altogether. You can’t tell that a celebrity is hurting when they smile before the camera unless you suspect that something is wrong and is very good at detecting things.

I don’t want to believe that all of the things that is said going on in the music business is true with the stars, but if true, somebody needs to put a stop to it. I’m quite sure that it’s not just Aaliyah and R Kelly. There is so much cover up, and it’s hard to say what’s true, but we do know that wrong is just wrong.

If R Kelly is still doing bad things to females, something should be done about it. That says a lot about the law if they know and if there is evidence to prove that R Kelly is doing bad things to women. Why isn’t he in jail? Is it because he’s rich and famous? Is it because he’s able to pay people off? Whose backing up R Kelly if it’s true that he’s doing bad things? People should be stopped for harming others.

When I found out about Damon Dash during the time when he was with Aaliyah, I knew nothing about him. I still don’t know that much about him. Now that Aaliyah has passed, I see Damon has troubles.
