There is one thing in the MCM 2000 interview that proves to me that Aaliyah was somewhat like me. She didn’t like to play with dolls much. She was a bit of a tomboy and played with her brother. I didn’t like playing with dolls much either. They were boring. All there was to do was put a milk bottle in the doll’s mouth and rock it to sleep unless it ran by batteries and did something. I played with my uncle who was five years older than me. He was like an actor. We played G.I.Joe with his action figures. It was like going to the movies and acting out a dialogue.
