If Only I Could Have Reached Aaliyah

Celebrities have so many fans. Remember when you had to get a self addressed stamped envelope? You had to hope and pray that you heard from your favorite star. You were lucky if you got a postcard. Now we have the internet, and it’s still hard because they don’t always respond even then, but I see that Aaliyah did. When Aaliyah became famous, I think I had a computer but not the Internet. 

I hope and pray that Aaliyah knew that there were people in the world that really cared for her. I hope that she can see that now in heaven with the Lord. Not every fan is just a fan. There are some people in this world that really care for a human being as a human being. Sometimes it’s the celebrities that think the wrong way too. They think about people buying their records and themselves signing autographs. They say, “ Oh, I Love the fans”. But I know that it’s more to it than that. It’s about genuine love. 

As far as reaching Aaliyah, I didn’t. Although it hurts, life went the way it was supposed to go. Now that Aaliyah is gone, God mentions her to me. I know God has a plan and future for all of his people. He’s an awesome God. If only I could have reached Aaliyah.
