Aaliyah’s gone, but we’ll see her again one day—sooner than we think. Look around. We are in a time of war, facing disasters and all sorts of challenges, just as Matthew 24 told us would happen. I don’t think this world will be here much longer; time is running out.
If we want to see Aaliyah again, or any of our loved ones, we need to
strive to do our best for God and enter His kingdom. One day soon, I hope we
will look up and see Aaliyah once more.
As 1 Thessalonians 4:14 reminds us: "For if we believe that Jesus died
and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with
him."
1 Thessalonians 4:16 "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout... and the dead in Christ shall rise first".
I thought of these words as I heard Shirley Caesar singing Sunday’s on
the Way. Despite present suffering, despair, or the "Friday" of
crucifixion/hardship, resurrection and victory are certain to happen. It’s a
song of hope, promising that God's power will turn defeat into victory,
because "Sunday is coming".
